The Friends of Harkness is a non-profit charitable organization supporting one of Connecticut's most-loved parks. We're a group that productively works together to produce great things. At the same time, we happily enjoy one another's company as we contribute 12,500 hours to the park annually.
All membership fees, gift, grants, and donation go to the restoration and preservation projects at the park. Currently, the greenhouse restoration is the focus of our fundraising efforts.
"Working together to promote the preservation of the Harkness mansion, Eolia,
and Harkness Memorial State Park, which was gifted to the people of Connecticut
by Mary Stillman Harkness, and in a manner in keeping with her will."
