Annual Holiday Party

Monday, December 7, 2015 - 5:30 - $5.00 donation
Only volunteers will be admitted before 5:30

The Friends of Harkness Holiday Party is a time to enjoy each other and our community of volunteers in the venue we sought to preserve 23 years ago. Board members will enjoy talking with each of you about plans and ideas for next year, so please plan on joining us.

Members are asked to bring an appetizer or dessert to share.

Our new Park Supervisor, Vin Messino, asks that everyone enter through the public park entrance, drive to the end of the parking lot, and on your far left is the gate that will be open to drive to the mansion.  Please be extremely cautious and drive slowly, because the area is not well-lit and there will be pedestrians on the driveway.  Park on the side of the pebble drive, leaving room for others to get by, but not on the grass.  Exit by the same route.  Please do not use the park staff entrance and driveway for this event for safety reasons.

Decorating the mansion for this one special evening takes a lot of effort, and a lot of willing hands.  Please consider just showing up this Saturday morning around 9:00 AM to help decorate.  We have a 12' tree to ornament, the mantels and stair rails to decorate with lights and greens, and tables to set with linen (or a reasonable covering!).  More hands make this go quickly.  We will have a similar "undecorating" gathering the following Saturday the 12th.

A reminder: Annual Dues, good for the calendar year, are due January 1st, but can be paid any time in January February or March.  If your membership has lapsed, please consider renewing at the $50 level rather than the $25 family or $15 individual level, mailed to the address below.

Remember, we're an all-volunteer organization, so all contributions go to Park improvements.
